I’m sure some movie. Maybe Ann-Margret wore it in some movie and every girl in America was wearing it the very next day.
Seriously, though, I know people weren’t really wearing jeans as “fashionable” until the eighties when the designer jeans became popular, so it probably came around that time or soon after.
